Joélson Meiras short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Tomás Palmeira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 11th minute, Joélson Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 13 played minutes Outeira got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Arce. João Carlos Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Albuquerque in the 14th minute of play. Edmílson Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Garcia in the 21st minute of the match. Tomás Palmeira was a little too slow when Dênis de Toledo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. Francisco Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Sarmento having to interfere. Francisco Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. João Carlos Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Corrêa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Carlos Sarmento having to make a save. Francisco Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. João Carlos Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Edmílson Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmílson Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Outeira defense, Francisco Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Carlos Sarmento. The Outeira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carlos Sarmento should have stopped the shot. When Francisco Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Da Vinci FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Corrêa couldn't finish the play. Francisco Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. João Carlos Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Da Vinci FC. 72 minutes in the game, Edmílson Garcia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without João Carlos Sarmento having to interfere. Joélson Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Palmeira having to interfere. Natanael Matos's late challenge caught a Outeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natanael Matos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Da Vinci FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Matos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Meira in the 86th minute of play forced Da Vinci FC's goalkeeper Tomás Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Da Vinci FC's Edmílson Garcia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Carlos Sarmento. João Carlos Sarmento yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Da Vinci FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
