Trios FC's Geraldo Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio da Silveira in the 16th minute of play. Marcelo Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Paulo Tróia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Abraão was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Trios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jacinto Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trios FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jacinto Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th match minute, Colorado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Fantini to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Félix's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcelo Abraão firmly grabbed it by the left post.
