Basuca SS's Rodriguinho Paes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Basuca SS from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Basuca SS's Agenor Lara got a free kick in the 18th minute. Rodriguinho Paes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Natanael Souza. Valdir das Neves struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Rodriguinho Paes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Governador Sarney FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nilmar Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 85thth minute of the game Valdir das Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basuca SS's Rodriguinho Paes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Valdir das Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Governador Sarney FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0.
