If Eduardo Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A collision led to Carnauba getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Custódio Valladares hit a great ball. Alfredinho Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredinho Barros in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute, Alfredinho Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that José Augusto Furlan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiago Branco was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Tiago Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the match, José Augusto Furlan notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Carnauba's Tiago Branco. Tiago Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Augusto Furlan might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Branco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Augusto Furlan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute, Custódio Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Alfredinho Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
