After 6th play minutes Luisão Vaz shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ivo Dias and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Peruíbe FC's Anderson Faria got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Luisão Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Peruíbe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisão Vaz couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Rubinho Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renatinho Viana hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ivo Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Faria in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the game Mathias Almeida made a throw-in which Kaká Donato played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Pimenta in the 28th minute of play forced Acarahu FC's goalkeeper Ivo Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Luiz Teles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute, Anderson Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peruíbe FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Anderson Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ivo Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luiz Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Vaz in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisão Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Anderson Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Peruíbe FC's Luiz Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Salles in the 58th minute of play. Ivo Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Acarahu FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nildo Rossi hit a great ball.
