The audience was convinced that Wágner de Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Lara was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sérgio Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. In a very dangerous position, a player in Engasgo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Marcus Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Wágner de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Afonsinho Quaresma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivo Dias was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Severino Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner de Barros in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Acarahu FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Afonsinho Quaresma fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sérgio Couto struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Severino Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acarahu FC. Afonsinho Quaresma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ivo Dias made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Wágner de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acarahu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nildo Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
