André Luiz Gaspar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zonta went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Daniel Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Valdemar Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Millwall FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Hernani Capixaba hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernani Capixaba in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Luiz Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Joélson Alves in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Millwall FC's Dedé da Silva. André Luiz Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernani Capixaba's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Marcel Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luiz Gaspar having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdemar Amorim was the one to do the kick off. Hernani Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. André Luiz Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Hernani Capixaba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Luiz Gaspar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With a little luck, Buarque EC's André Luiz Gaspar got control of the ball when Marcel Vides tried to sneak it across the goal line. Buarque EC's André Luiz Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zonta in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Hernani Capixaba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Millwall FC's attentive Dedé da Silva managed to snatch the ball when Rubinho Pinheiro made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. A collision led to Millwall FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Siqueira hit a great ball. With a little luck, Buarque EC's André Luiz Gaspar got control of the ball when Hernani Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Millwall FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Buarque EC throughout the match.
