Black Sails's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Rosado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Black Sails's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Black Sails getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Adelino Secco hit a great ball. When Angelo Luz fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Sails's protests and gave Angelo Luz a yellow card for diving instead. Angelo Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Wágner Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fernandinho Perez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adelino Secco in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Cipriano de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano de Carvalho in the 43rd minute of play forced Black Sails's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Black Sails players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pacoval were winning 1-2.

Black Sails's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Fernandinho Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Black Sails's Adelino Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
