Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Túlio de Toledo kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Caetano Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Paulo Simões was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. In the 4thth minute of the game Túlio de Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jabota's Rafinha Cavalcante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Caetano Koehler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maracanu's Luiz Paulo Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Braga got free with Luiz Paulo Simões in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Túlio de Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maracanu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Jabota booed when Maracanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ademar Alves during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 25 minutes into the game, one of Jabota:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eriberto de Carvalho walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Rafinha Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Rossi in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Jabota's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio de Toledo came free, but Rafinha Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Jailson Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jabota's Rafinha Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Rossi in the 35th minute of play. Rafinha Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio de Toledo in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jabota's Jailson Travassos got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 42 played minutes Jabota got a freekick which was hit by Wágner de Sousa. Luiz Paulo Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caetano Koehler to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Maracanu's zone, Jailson Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Paulo Simões came out of the goal and Jailson Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Caetano Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Norberto Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Koehler in the 61st minute of the match. Norberto Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Luiz Paulo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio de Toledo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 89 played minutes Maracanu got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Pereira. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Wágner de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jabota's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Paulo Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 98 minutes into the game, Arí Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maracanu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jabota the free kick. In the 99th minute of the match Ademar Alves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Paulo Simões skillfully saved the ball. Chants of Maracanu echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Jabota had held the ball for most of the match.
