Giovanni Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano Severo's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Abel Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vicente Pinheiro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Severo in the 13th minute of play forced Juiracu's goalkeeper Giovanni Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juiracu's Giovanni Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Severo in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Tróia in the 18th minute of play forced Juiracu's goalkeeper Giovanni Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Juiracu's zone, Abel Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Veiga came out of the goal and Abel Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulisses Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Caetano Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Triângulo Mineiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giovanni Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Severo in the 27th minute of the match. When Ulisses Santos came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Juiracu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulisses Santos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Santos in the 31st minute of play forced CA Triângulo Mineiro's goalkeeper João Pedro Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Válter Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but João Pedro Bueno made a huge save. In the 35th minute of the match Juiracu got a corner. CA Triângulo Mineiro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elder Maranhense ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Juiracu's Elder Maranhense to fire away a dangerous shot which João Pedro Bueno despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Severo in the 37th minute of play forced Juiracu's goalkeeper Giovanni Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Giovanni Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulisses Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. João Pedro Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. One of Juiracu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CA Triângulo Mineiro:s goal. Valdemar Bezerra shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Abel Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes CA Triângulo Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Victor Castro. 86 minutes into the match, Juiracu's Elder Maranhense broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Giovanni Veiga successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abel Tróia came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Giovanni Veiga could save by the left post. Giovanni Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Pinheiro in the 94th minute. Giovanni Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
