Mathias Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Aloísio Tróia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fearless Jungle Jaguars's Mathias Cardoso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Angelo Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Fearless Jungle Jaguars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Fontes couldn't finish the play. Kiko Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Jacinto having to interfere. Angelo Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Valdir Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Valdir Pereira made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Manaós's zone, Angelo Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Pereira came out of the goal and Angelo Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 played minutes Manaós got a freekick which was hit by Josué Tinoco. Robinho Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Manaós's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Salles came free, but Valdir Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes Manaós got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Vianna.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Fontes to make the kick off. Valdir Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Manaós defense, Angelo Fontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Pereira. The Manaós fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Pereira should have stopped the shot. When Angelo Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Fearless Jungle Jaguars fans jumped to their feet. If João Paulo Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Fearless Jungle Jaguars players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
