The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Itatiaiucu's Giovani Salles got control of the ball when Emerson de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emerson de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Giovani Salles made a huge save. If Murilo Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Carneiro in the 13th minute of play. Luan Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Fernandes in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Erasmo Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcel Matos fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itatiaiucu's protests and gave Marcel Matos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Itatiaiucu's Marcel Matos got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Emerson de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Pensamento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson de Moraes couldn't finish the play. Itatiaiucu's Giovani Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Itatiaiucu from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Celsinho Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murilo Santana hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Luan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Carneiro in the 29th minute of play. Christian Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Christian Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Pensamento's Murilo Santana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovani Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Pensamento getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Marcelinho Aparecido hit a great ball. Pensamento's Luan Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Bertassi in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Fernandes in the 43rd minute of play forced Pensamento's goalkeeper Luan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 51st minute, Murilo Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emerson de Moraes struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Giovani Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pensamento. In the 60th minute of the match, Christian Carneiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luan Sanches was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Christian Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Luan Sanches made a huge save. Jano de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson de Moraes in the 67th minute of play forced Itatiaiucu's goalkeeper Giovani Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovani Salles came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Pensamento's Emerson de Moraes. But to his dismay, Emerson de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 74 minutes into the match, Pensamento's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Moura came free, but Luan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes in the game, Angelo Fernandes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luan Sanches having to interfere. Luan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Bertassi in the 80th minute of play. Giovani Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson de Moraes in the 82nd minute of play. Itatiaiucu's Giovani Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson de Moraes in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson de Moraes in the 87th minute of play forced Itatiaiucu's goalkeeper Giovani Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Murilo Santana came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Pensamento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murilo Santana couldn't finish the play. Murilo Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Salles having to interfere. With a little luck, Pensamento's Luan Sanches got control of the ball when Christian Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Itatiaiucu players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pensamento.
