Murilo Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ademir Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Michel Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ademir Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Diogo Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Talvez Venceremos FC's Michel Arósio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ademir Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Santana in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson de Moraes in the 27th minute of play forced Talvez Venceremos FC's goalkeeper Ademir Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ademir Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ademir Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Santana in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Emerson de Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute Emerson de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Talvez Venceremos FC got a freekick which was hit by João Sabóia. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emerson de Moraes to make the kick off. Luan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco de Queiroz in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Diogo Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Murilo Santana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ademir Recife was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Talvez Venceremos FC's Cesinha de Amaral seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cesinha de Amaral the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Talvez Venceremos FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cesinha de Amaral had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Talvez Venceremos FC! The goalkeeper, Ademir Recife, was totally fooled by Pensamento's Egídio Perez, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Pensamento booed when Talvez Venceremos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson de Moraes got free with Ademir Recife in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco de Queiroz in the 82nd minute of play forced Pensamento's goalkeeper Luan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pensamento's Murilo Santana got a free kick in the 90th minute. José Vítor Britto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luan Sanches having to make a save. In the 94th minute, Joaquim Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
