Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jânio Mendonça got the match started through his kick off. 15 minutes into the game, Luiz Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmas FC the free kick. Luiz Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Jânio Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Jânio Mendonça took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cristiano Loureiro to make any attempt to save it. Luiz Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Marques having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Palmas FC's Eduardo Mandrak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristiano Loureiro. That made the score 2-2 after 28 minutes of play. In the 31st match minute, Palmas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Paru's Cristiano Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Teles in the 35th minute of play. Paru's Cristiano Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Paru from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Palmas FC's Cristiano Loureiro threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sandro Cordeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rafael Galvão's late challenge caught a Paru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Palmas FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Galvão. After a defensive mix-up in Palmas FC's zone, Luiz Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Marques came out of the goal and Luiz Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Fred Perez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafa Marques skillfully saved the ball. In the 45th minute, Anderson Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Anderson Teles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristiano Loureiro. That made the score 3-2 in the 47 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Nóbrega was the one to do the kick off. Hílton Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jânio Mendonça in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Loureiro saved Paru from getting behind. Sandro Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Loureiro having to interfere. Jânio Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Paru's Otávio de Lara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. Jânio Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cristiano Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Otávio de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Otávio de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paru's protests and gave Otávio de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Paru getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Otávio de Lara hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Mendonça in the 81st minute of play forced Paru's goalkeeper Cristiano Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Rafael Galvão notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Paru's Cristiano Loureiro. Cristiano Loureiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Luiz Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Mendonça in the 92nd minute of play forced Paru's goalkeeper Cristiano Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Cristiano Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Palmas FC had played much better football throughout.
