Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jânio Mendonça took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jânio Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. César Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atlético Marechal - FDFDF's César Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Cordeiro in the 8th minute of play. Dieguinho Botelho's late challenge caught a Palmas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafa Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Sousa in the 16th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Atlético Marechal - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Marco Vander. 24 minutes into the match, Atlético Marechal - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Mandrak came free, but César Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Palmas FC's zone, Dieguinho Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Marques came out of the goal and Dieguinho Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Rafa Marques successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Atlético Marechal - FDFDF defense, Jânio Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Aguiar. The Atlético Marechal - FDFDF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Aguiar should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Hermes in the 33rd minute of play forced Palmas FC's goalkeeper Rafa Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Moisés Hermes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. The supporters of Palmas FC booed when Atlético Marechal - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Marechal - FDFDF's Chiquinho Sousa got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute Victor Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jânio Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Aguiar having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

52 minutes into the game, Atlético Marechal - FDFDF's Victor Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafa Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hernani Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rafa Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Victor Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chiquinho Sousa hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute Sandro Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieguinho Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rafa Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dieguinho Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Penha took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafa Marques. Rafa Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Rafa Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Penha in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Sandro Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafa Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chiquinho Sousa went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Dieguinho Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Dieguinho Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Marechal - FDFDF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Atlético Marechal - FDFDF had won after a very even match.
