In the 3rd minute, Duda Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 minutes, Diguinho Carneiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caveirão and the Paru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caveirão's Otávio Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Otávio Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Caveirão fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Caveirão's Breno Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 18 minutes, Otávio Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caveirão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Otávio Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Paru's Otávio de Lara got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Breno Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caveirão's supporters rose to their feet, but Breno Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 32nd minute of the match Diguinho Carneiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Diguinho Carneiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Paru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otávio de Lara during the 39th minute. Otávio de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes, Caveirão's Frederico Motta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristiano Loureiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caveirão reached it. In the 41st minute, Otávio Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Paru's zone, Duda Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Loureiro came out of the goal and Duda Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aleandro Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Duarte having to interfere.
When Otávio Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Caveirão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otávio Mazza couldn't finish the play. Otávio Mazza succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 54th playminute. In the 60th minute Lauro Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Otávio de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Otávio Mazza lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Cristiano Loureiro. When Breno Moura came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Caveirão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Breno Moura couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Caveirão's Breno Moura got a free kick in the 71st minute. Cristiano Loureiro came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Caveirão's Otávio Mazza. But to his dismay, Otávio Mazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Aleandro Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Paru's zone, Otávio Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Loureiro came out of the goal and Otávio Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 played minutes Paru got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo do Nascimento. Otávio Mazza took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristiano Loureiro. Cristiano Loureiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Duda Sennas short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Cristiano Loureiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paru's Cristiano Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Paru from getting a goal against them. Otávio Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caveirão played a much better game than Paru and deserved their victory. The Paru players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
