Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eugênio Brasil started the match with the kick off. Alfredinho Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th match minute, tupã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Nestor da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Rodriguinho Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murillo da Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nestor da Mata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murillo da Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Geroma SC's João Francisco Fantini got a free kick in the 16th minute. Joélson Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio da Silveira got free with Alfredinho Gaúcho in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joélson Correia's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Joélson Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Geroma SC's Zé Paulo Cordeiro got a free kick in the 26th minute. tupã's Joélson Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, tupã's Joélson Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor da Mata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gildo Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Nestor da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Prado in the 36th minute of play. When Daniel Marques fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored tupã's protests and gave Daniel Marques a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, tupã's Daniel Marques got a free kick in the 40th minute. Alfredinho Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Joélson Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joélson Correia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Nestor da Mata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nestor da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugênio Brasil struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Alfredinho Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geroma SC. Nestor da Mata made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Joélson Correia sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nestor da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71stth minute of the game Joélson Correia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Geroma SC's Nestor da Mata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. During the 75th minute of the match Daniel Marques completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Daniel Marques a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, tupã's Daniel Marques got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Geroma SC's Eugênio Brasil in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye tupã's goalie prevented a goal. Joélson Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Geroma SC booed when tupã was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. tupã's Alfredinho Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio da Silveira in the 95th minute of play. Geroma SC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though tupã had controlled the match.
