After 3 minutes, Acácio Severo made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Estrela Dourada F.C.'s Cezary Cichewski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manoel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Sena in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Félix in the 11th minute of play forced Estrela Dourada F.C.'s goalkeeper Cezary Cichewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Sena hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes Deportivo La Corcunda got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Galvão. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo La Corcunda's zone, Vito Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Torres came out of the goal and Vito Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito Sena succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Vito Sena's late challenge caught a Deportivo La Corcunda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vito Sena helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Estrela Dourada F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vito Sena hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Aílton Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezary Cichewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aílton Félix's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Cezary Cichewski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Deportivo La Corcunda getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Roberto Coutinho hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Estrela Dourada F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Recife. The attack was good, but when Aílton Félix in the 43rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice moves Pedro Pernambucano could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Cezary Cichewski however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th minute, Deportivo La Corcunda's Aílton Félix dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Pernambucano to make the kick off. Celso Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manoel Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Estrela Dourada F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Sena to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Deportivo La Corcunda's Manoel Torres got control of the ball when Vito Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Acácio Severo fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo La Corcunda's protests and gave Acácio Severo a yellow card for diving instead. Acácio Severo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Aílton Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo La Corcunda's Aílton Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aílton Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezary Cichewski having to interfere. Vito Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Torres having to interfere. Cezary Cichewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Pedro Pernambucano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cezary Cichewski having to make a save. In the 95th match minute, Estrela Dourada F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Furtado to maneuver through the defense.
