But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Esteves couldn't finish the play. Guarapuava's Kiko Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Guarapuava from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Abolição FC booed when Guarapuava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kiko Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Guarapuava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Zanette to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match Ademar Carvalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kiko Schmidt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 18 minutes in the game, Tiago Gabriel Esteves fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kiko Schmidt having to interfere. João Carlos Valle's late challenge caught a Abolição FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Prata in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kiko Schmidt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abolição FC's Ahmet Rıfat Erdem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Sousa in the 41st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sandrinho Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Rıfat Erdem was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Ronaldinho Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th match minute, Guarapuava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Zanette to maneuver through the defense. Abolição FC's Ademar Carvalho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guarapuava. In the 83rd minute, Bernardo Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes Guarapuava got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Sousa. After recieving a nice pass, Abolição FC's Ademar Carvalho tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes, Gil Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abolição FC and the Guarapuava players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gil Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Guarapuava were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
