Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Antônio Carlos Mello started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Aloísio Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaltino Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Rubens Vinhas scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaltino Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 9 minutes, Aloísio Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciber F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aloísio Nogueira scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaltino Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giuseppe Vianna might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaltino Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giuseppe Vianna ran back to his position shaking his head. After 27 minutes of play, Ciber F.C's Aloísio Nogueira made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaltino Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giuseppe Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomé Silveira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Betinho Travassos came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomé Silveira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes, Rubens Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciber F.C and the EC Bahia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ciber F.C's Rubens Vinhas got a free kick in the 38th minute. Tomé Silveira's late challenge caught a Ciber F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomé Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, EC Bahia's Tomé Silveira got a free kick in the 44th minute. Isaltino Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Prestes in the 45th minute of play. Samuca Munhoz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, EC Bahia's Adriano Bittencourt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Betinho Travassos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EC Bahia reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giuseppe Vianna to make the kick off. A collision led to EC Bahia getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Juarês Fontes hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Antônio Carlos Ribeiro in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ciber F.C's Rubens Vinhas. 58 minutes into the match, Ciber F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Mello came free, but Betinho Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Antônio Carlos Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in EC Bahia's zone, Ademar Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Correia came out of the goal and Ademar Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giuseppe Vianna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaltino Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Mello in the 73rd minute of play forced Ciber F.C's goalkeeper Betinho Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betinho Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Mello in the 76th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Vianna lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Isaltino Correia. If Aloísio Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 played minutes EC Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Silveira. When the match was over Ciber F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than EC Bahia throughout the match.
