In the 5th minute, Nilton Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Internacionale's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor de Sena came free, but Alexsandro Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilton Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Ihum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilton Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Matías Simão came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Internacionale's Cauã Souto. But to his dismay, Cauã Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alexsandro Massa was a little too slow when Pedrão Furlan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Internacionale's Alexsandro Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Internacionale from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Zé Paulo Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ihum's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 played minutes Nestor de Sena rounded Internacionale's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrão Furlan during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor de Sena in the 38th minute of play forced Internacionale's goalkeeper Alexsandro Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tadeu Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisinho Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ihum's Romário Faria tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cauã Souto made the kick off in the second half. Alexsandro Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cauã Souto might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matías Simão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cauã Souto ran back to his position shaking his head. After 61 played minutes Ihum got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Furlan. If Tadeu Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauã Souto got free with Matías Simão in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Internacionale booed when Ihum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo José Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Cauã Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo José Antunes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Alexsandro Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor de Sena in the 90th minute of play. Alexsandro Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Furlan in the 91st minute of the match. Tadeu Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Simão having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Internacionale's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Brasil came free, but Alexsandro Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Internacionale players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ihum.
