In the 10th minute, André Luís Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Breckenfeld was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Hugo Moreno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renatinho Ceresso having to make a save. Ronaldinho Alagoano hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Sabugueiro defense, André Luís Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel Breckenfeld. The Sabugueiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Breckenfeld should have stopped the shot. When Arnaldo Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pixaim EC's protests and gave Arnaldo Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Arnaldo Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Breckenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Eurico Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Noel Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Mello in the 56th minute of the match. Noel Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Pixaim EC's Fernando de Barros. But to his dismay, Fernando de Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. André Luís Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Breckenfeld having to interfere. If Hugo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pixaim EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Arnaldo Figueiredo hit a great ball. In the 73rd match minute, Pixaim EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando de Barros to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Dionísio Ramalho fired a really elegant long shot, but Renatinho Ceresso threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 84 minutes into the match, Pixaim EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Amorim came free, but Renatinho Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Hugo Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If André Luís Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Hugo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabugueiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renatinho Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Pixaim EC's zone, Eurico Donato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renatinho Ceresso came out of the goal and Eurico Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Luís Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Breckenfeld having to interfere.
