Patrick Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 4 minutes, Elói Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malhadinho and the Miramar SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elói Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Christian Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Patrick Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Miramar SS's Afonso Quirino got a free kick in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Miramar SS's Isaltino Jacinto got a free kick in the 15th minute. Adrianinho Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Richard Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Duarte in the 27th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaltino Jacinto during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Adrianinho Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 31st minute of the match Isaltino Jacinto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isaltino Jacinto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Malhadinho booed when Miramar SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrianinho Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Miramar SS's Afonso Quirino got a free kick in the 36th minute. Adrianinho Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dráuzio Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrianinho Donato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Adrianinho Donato suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Miramar SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Malhadinho a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Elói Pontes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Miramar SS's Dráuzio Paraíba. 1-0. Roberto Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulysses Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Ulysses Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Cruz in the 67th minute of play forced Miramar SS's goalkeeper Dráuzio Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Urbano came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Miramar SS's Christian Meira. But to his dismay, Christian Meira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Malhadinho's Roberto Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Roberto Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráuzio Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Pontes in the 87th minute of play. Miramar SS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Malhadinho's much stronger midfield.
