Natã Berger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Phoênnyx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã Berger to maneuver through the defense. Arthur Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes of play, Santa Cruz do Sul's Baltazar Cruz made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur Corrêa was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Phoênnyx getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Guto Motta hit a great ball. Phoênnyx's Arthur Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Pombal in the 44th minute of play. Baltazar Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Arthur Corrêa made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Gerber made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Phoênnyx got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Gerber. After 56 played minutes Phoênnyx got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Leme. Phoênnyx's Arthur Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Cruz in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Cruz in the 61st minute of play forced Phoênnyx's goalkeeper Arthur Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Phoênnyx's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Pombal came free, but Arthur Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arthur Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santa Cruz do Sul's Cafu Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Leme in the 89th minute of play. Claudinho Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Martins having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Santa Cruz do Sul fully deserved thier win.
