In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Parnamirim F.C.'s goalkeeper Elivélton Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With splendid footwork Hortêncio Teixeira arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 22nd minute. Humberto de Toledo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Hortêncio Teixeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E. Betteguense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of Real Parnamirim F.C. booed when S.E. Betteguense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. When Zé Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Real Parnamirim F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Hortêncio Teixeira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Anselmo da Mata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play.
