Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Umberto Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Artemio Donio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustão Cavalcante was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Chambivas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Donio came free, but Faustão Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Umberto Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chambivas SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Umberto Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Faustão Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Donio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías de Carvalho during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Matías de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar Guimarães who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Tiago Neves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Ponta da Praia FC's Artemio Donio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustão Cavalcante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chambivas SC's Baltazar Guimarães got a free kick in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Luizinho Velloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faustão Cavalcante. Chambivas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizinho Velloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cipriano Quintal hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Artemio Donio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artemio Donio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faustão Cavalcante having to make a save. Faustão Cavalcante came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponta da Praia FC's Artemio Donio. But to his dismay, Artemio Donio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chambivas SC's goalkeeper Faustão Cavalcante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltazar Guimarães in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Chambivas SC's zone, Artemio Donio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Cavalcante came out of the goal and Artemio Donio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Chambivas SC booed when Ponta da Praia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matías de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Artemio Donio in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Faustão Cavalcante, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Chambivas SC booed when Ponta da Praia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto Gerber in the 66th minute of the match. Artemio Donio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faustão Cavalcante was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Luizinho Velloso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luizinho Velloso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Ponta da Praia FC's Tiago Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Gerber in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Artemio Donio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artemio Donio in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Cavalcante saved Chambivas SC from getting behind. In the 95th minute Artemio Donio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ponta da Praia FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
