Hudson Faria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lino Brito came out and tried to block the shot, but Hudson Faria slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Lino Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Refugio EC's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Faria came free, but Lino Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Valdo Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Henry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Richard Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Henry FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Faria in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Richard Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lino Brito was a little too slow when Hudson Faria got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. After a rather tough play, Refugio EC's Fernando Moura got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Oséas Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Lino Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hudson Faria struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Lino Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Henry FC. Lino Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Hudson Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Henry FC's Richard Gomes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Richard Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Ediberto Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Refugio EC's zone, Richard Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lino Brito came out of the goal and Richard Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry FC's Zacarias Elivareo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Henry FC from getting a goal against them. Valdo Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Lino Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Gomes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Brito having to make a save. Oséas Trancoso charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséas Trancoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Refugio EC got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Trancoso. In the 65th minute, Noel Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Refugio EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Henry FC:s goal. Lino Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Quadros in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Refugio EC's goalkeeper Lino Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes into the game, Fabinho Capixaba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Refugio EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Henry FC the free kick. Fabinho Capixaba hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Henry FC's Zacarias Elivareo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Henry FC from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Queiroz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zacarias Elivareo, 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Henry FC had played much better football throughout.
