Cambaras's Fiori Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Armandinho Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fiori Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to MARANATA getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jorginho Coelho hit a great ball. Fiori Guedes struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Michel Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambaras. When Luís Gustavo Zanette fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambaras's protests and gave Luís Gustavo Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. Cambaras's Ruy Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Cambaras from getting a goal against them. Fiori Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruy Prestes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matías Terra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Luís Fabiano Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot. MARANATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fabiano Falcão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruy Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michel Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvaldo Vander's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. If Edvaldo Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fiori Guedes to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Terra in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th match minute, Cambaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Donatello to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Cambaras getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ronaldo Donatello hit a great ball. Cambaras's Ruy Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Falcão in the 69th minute of play. Luís Fabiano Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Edvaldo Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, MARANATA's Dênis do Nascimento got a free kick in the 90th minute. Fiori Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Castro having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
