Mateus Quaresma hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Cristian Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Florencio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Cristian Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Luís Guilherme Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Cosso's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Moreno came free, but Luís Guilherme Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Guilherme Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda Guedes in the 13th minute of play. Jerônimo Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Silvinho Damião made a huge save. Dedé Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Florencio FC's Silvinho Damião proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Florencio FC from getting a goal against them. Luís Guilherme Brodel came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Florencio FC's Cristian Soeiro. But to his dismay, Cristian Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Romero was the one to do the kick off. Cosso's Jerônimo Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 54 minutes, Richard Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 played minutes Cosso got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Toledo. Gonçalo Vieira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Richard Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Silvinho Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Moreno in the 76th minute of play forced Cosso's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Vieira, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jerônimo Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Damião having to interfere. Jerônimo Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvinho Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th match minute, Florencio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Vieira to maneuver through the defense.
