Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Espinha's Evandro Pernambucano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Espinha's Celso Gonçalves got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Patrick da Mata fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mirandopolis EC's protests and gave Patrick da Mata a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Mirandopolis EC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick da Mata. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcinho Barbosa in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Pedro Mineiro saved Mirandopolis EC from getting behind. In the 9th match minute, Espinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Pitta in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Tepedino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Espinha's Abel Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Pitta in the 14th minute of play. If Ulysses Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evandro Pernambucano might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Pedro Mineiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evandro Pernambucano ran back to his position shaking his head. João Pedro Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Pernambucano in the 17th minute of the match. Ulysses Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Abel Tepedino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mirandopolis EC. David Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Abel Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Espinha got a freekick which was hit by Léo de Toledo. After 30 played minutes, Mirandopolis EC's Diego Terra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Tepedino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mirandopolis EC reached it. After having played for 31 minutes, David Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mirandopolis EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abel Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Pedro Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. João Pedro Mineiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcinho Barbosa in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the game, Falcão Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mirandopolis EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinha the free kick. Falcão Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Mirandopolis EC's João Pedro Mineiro got control of the ball when Marcinho Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ulysses Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. David Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Mirandopolis EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Barbosa came free, but João Pedro Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Pernambucano in the 68th minute of play forced Mirandopolis EC's goalkeeper João Pedro Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcinho Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Mineiro having to interfere. In the 74th minute Marcinho Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Diniz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Pedro Mineiro. Mirandopolis EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Evandro Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Espinha's goalkeeper Abel Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick da Mata. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Espinha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mirandopolis EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
