Gil Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Eger in the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Colombia SS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mazinho de Azevedo hit a great ball. Ernesto Favoretto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Pombal in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Acácio Marinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Guerra. Apiaba SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Acácio Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Apiaba SC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. André Luís Bueno hit a great ball. Acácio Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gil Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Guerra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Colombia SS's Jonathan Diniz got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Roberto Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Mazinho de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia SS's Vítor Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia SS from getting a goal against them. Mazinho de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Ernesto Favoretto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Freitas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Roberto Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apiaba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Vítor Freitas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Roberto Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apiaba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dário Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After recieving a nice pass, Colombia SS's Carlos Alberto Fernandez tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Acácio Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Cacá Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Ernesto Favoretto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Freitas skillfully saved the ball. In the 95th minute of the match, Jonathan Diniz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gil Guerra was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
