In the 12th match minute, Marretas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo da Costa to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Paulo da Costa in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Reis saved Rampa from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Luiz Paulo da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduardo Quirino in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nestor Reis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rampa's Nestor Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo da Costa in the 20th minute of play. Reynaldo Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Romero in the 23rd minute of the match. Reynaldo Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Cerezo in the 25th minute of play. Reynaldo Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 26 played minutes Marretas got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Bueno. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Romero to make the kick off. Reynaldo Moreno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emerson Cerezo in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Marretas's Reynaldo Moreno got control of the ball when Emerson Cerezo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Marretas's zone, Emerson Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Moreno came out of the goal and Emerson Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 minutes, Gino Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rampa and the Marretas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rampa getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gino Vale hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Gino Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sérgio Damião fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rampa's protests and gave Sérgio Damião a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rampa getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sérgio Damião hit a great ball. Eduardo Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telmo Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Telmo Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Moreno having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Cerezo got free with Reynaldo Moreno in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Luiz Paulo da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerson Cerezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Moreno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emerson Cerezo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Emerson Cerezo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rampa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
