Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Telmo Romero started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Romero in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caco Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emerson Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Romero in the 14th minute of play forced Igarassu's goalkeeper Caco Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Igarassu's Fernão Queiroz in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rampa's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Igarassu defense, Emerson Cerezo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caco Mazza. The Igarassu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caco Mazza should have stopped the shot. Nestor Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernão Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Iuri Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tomé Souto fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Igarassu's protests and gave Tomé Souto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rampa booed when Igarassu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rampa's Telmo Romero in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Igarassu's goalie prevented a goal. After 38 minutes, Gino Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rampa and the Igarassu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gino Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Nestor Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernão Queiroz in the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Fernão Queiroz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nestor Reis. Fernão Queiroz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Igarassu's Tomé Souto got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Tomé Souto off the ground. In the 59th minute, Tomé Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rampa's José Vítor Rosa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Igarassu. Caco Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Romero in the 63rd minute of the match. Iuri Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes Igarassu got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Pereira. Caco Mazza had great luck who in the 74thth minute grab hold of the ball when Telmo Romero from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 77th minute, Alfredinho Baiano fired a really elegant long shot, but Caco Mazza threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Emerson Cerezo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caco Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Igarassu's zone, Emerson Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caco Mazza came out of the goal and Emerson Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute Telmo Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rampa's Emerson Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Igarassu's Caco Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Romero in the 91st minute of play. Caco Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Romero in the 94th minute of play. The Rampa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rampa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
