Dé Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Fernando Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Lago in the 9th minute of play forced Anaje's goalkeeper Pedro Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdo Alcântara's late challenge caught a Anaje's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdo Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Albertinho Valadares was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cordozal SC! When the match had been going on for 27 minutes, Anaje's Franklin Nogueira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fernando Vander. After a rather tough play, Cordozal SC's Valdo Alcântara got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Franklin Nogueira's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Fernando Vander on his right side and into the goal. 34 minutes into the game it was 3-0. Cordozal SC's Fernando Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cordozal SC from getting a goal against them. Fernando Vander was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Benê Santana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benê Santana really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fábio Lago made a kick off. Anaje's Dé Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Santana in the 53rd minute of play forced Cordozal SC's goalkeeper Fernando Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes of play, Anaje's Dé Maranhense made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Vander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benê Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fernando Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Maranhense in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Anaje's Dé Maranhense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Vander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Benê Santana came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Anaje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Santana couldn't finish the play. Dé Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Fernando Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benê Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Luís Fábio Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Trigo having to interfere. Dé Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Anaje were the better team. Anaje's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
