Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ramón Alagoano took the kick off in the first half of the match. Juvenal Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 6 minutes, Nilton Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coitezeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andarahy's Ademir de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Gaspar in the 10th minute of play. Vivaldo Gaspar's late challenge caught a Andarahy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vivaldo Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. Vivaldo Gaspar hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Vivaldo Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Andarahy's Ademir de Andrade got control of the ball when Nilton Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nilton Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ademir de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Coitezeira's Vivaldo Gaspar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ademir de Andrade. Ademir de Andrade yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The supporters of Coitezeira booed when Andarahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laércio Xavier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ademir de Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Vivaldo Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ademir de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Vivaldo Gaspar made the kick off in the second half. During the 56th minute of the match Vivaldo Gaspar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vivaldo Gaspar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Ramón Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Emerson Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andarahy's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramón Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Coitezeira got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Pernambucano. Coitezeira's Vivaldo Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dagoberto Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andarahy's Ramón Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Andarahy's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Branco came free, but Ademir de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Coitezeira players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
