Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Naldo Bertassi got the match started through his kick off. Faustão Fernandes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Benjamin Valladares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Naldo Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elano Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Damião in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Bertassi in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elano Pinho saved Ibipeba from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Jonia AD's zone, Faustão Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Valladares came out of the goal and Faustão Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luizinho Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luizinho Eger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benjamin Valladares came out and tried to block the shot, but Luizinho Eger slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luizinho Eger was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Eger in the 53rd minute of play forced Jonia AD's goalkeeper Benjamin Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elano Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When Naldo Bertassi came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Jonia AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo Bertassi couldn't finish the play. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ibipeba! The goalkeeper, Elano Pinho, was totally fooled by Jonia AD's Dadá Ortiz, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Saraiva in the 72nd minute of play forced Jonia AD's goalkeeper Benjamin Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luizinho Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes of play, Ibipeba's Luizinho Eger made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Valladares was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 90 minutes, Faustão Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibipeba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustão Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Marcinho Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jonia AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibipeba the free kick. If Luizinho Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Jonia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Fernandes came free, but Benjamin Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonia AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
