Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raimundo Vianna got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Sacambu SS got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Alves. In the 4th minute of the match Álvaro Marquez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquim Botelho skillfully saved the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Sacambu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Vianna came free, but Joaquim Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ituacu SS's Agostinho Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ituacu SS from getting a goal against them. Agostinho Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Carioca in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Raimundo Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sacambu SS's Joaquim Botelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Sacambu SS's Eliézer da Cunha got a free kick in the 18th minute. Afonsinho Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Raimundo Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Botelho having to interfere. Joaquim Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Souza in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Manfredo Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ituacu SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sacambu SS the free kick. After 33 played minutes Ituacu SS got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Rezende. After having played for 36 minutes, Raimundo Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ituacu SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Vianna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Marcelo Alves put in a rough tackle. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sacambu SS! In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Ituacu SS. Álvaro Marquez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquim Botelho. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Manfredo Rezende was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. In the 74th minute, Marcinho Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonsinho Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Joaquim Botelho made a huge save. Afonsinho Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joaquim Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Botelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonsinho Souza in the 86th minute. Marcinho Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
