Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When César Hames fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Travesao's protests and gave César Hames a yellow card for diving instead. Sabugi's Marcos Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles dos Santos in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute Zézinho Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Travesao's Júlio Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Ferreira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcos Ortiz firmly grabbed it by the left post. 25 minutes into the match, Travesao's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel Souto came free, but Raúl Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Manoel Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Travesao's zone, Zézinho Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Aguiar came out of the goal and Zézinho Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zézinho Cosme scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raúl Aguiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th match minute, Travesao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. Sabugi's Marcos Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles dos Santos in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles dos Santos made a kick off. Marcos Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Cosme in the 62nd minute of the match. José Pedro da Silva hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Manoel Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Raúl Aguiar made a huge save. If Manoel Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles dos Santos in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sabugi's Manoel Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Zézinho Cosme reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raúl Aguiar. The goal made the score 0-2. 89 minutes into the game, Manoel Souto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Raúl Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romário Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sabugi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sabugi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
