In the 29th minute Dorian Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Marcos Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Faustão Guedes to make any attempt to save it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Botelho to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Baracaja SC's zone, Dagoberto Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Guedes came out of the goal and Dagoberto Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th match minute, Baracaja SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Lopes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Baracaja SC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Alexandre Pernambucano hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Dorian Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baracaja SC's Faustão Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Botelho in the 65th minute of play. Matías Miranda's late challenge caught a Baracaja SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Baracaja SC booed when Projeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovanni Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Breckenfeld in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Botelho in the 88th minute of play forced Baracaja SC's goalkeeper Faustão Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Projeto's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Pernambucano came free, but Geovanni Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustão Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
