In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jurubeba FC's goalkeeper José Carlos Magalhães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Antunes during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jurubeba FC's Basílio Antunes got a free kick in the 5th minute. Erik Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vágner Barros struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Luisinho Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jurubeba FC. 13 minutes into the match, Vágner Barros notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Engenhoca's Luisinho Santos. Luisinho Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Vágner Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Paes took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisinho Santos. Luisinho Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luisinho Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Paes in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Vágner Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jurubeba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luisinho Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Paes in the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Erik Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jurubeba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismael Arruda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vágner Barros to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Jurubeba FC's Erik Paes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luisinho Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Tiago Gabriel Vergílio's late challenge caught a Jurubeba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Santos having to interfere. Engenhoca's Luisinho Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Engenhoca from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Tiago Gabriel Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 97 minutes Engenhoca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ismael Arruda who took care of the corner kick. The Jurubeba FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jurubeba FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
