The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Antunes during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Carlos Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dênis Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Dênis Leite made a precise shot to the right of José Carlos Magalhães. Jurubeba FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Vágner Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cícero Arruda was the one to do the kick off. If Dênis Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Guajara FC's protests and gave Walmyr Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. Walmyr Baptista hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Vágner Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Rocha having to interfere. The supporters of Jurubeba FC booed when Guajara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luiz Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes in the game, Erik Paes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The Jurubeba FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guajara FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
