In the 16th minute, Célio Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Pindobacu FC's goalkeeper Dudu Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Lara. When Tomé Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Pindobacu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomé Cruz couldn't finish the play. Cícero Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Diego Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute Célio Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Laudja FC booed when Pindobacu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes Pindobacu FC got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Toscano. The long shot by Leonel Mello in the 36th minute really tested Dudu Mota's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 37th minute Ezequiel Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tostão Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Tomé Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pindobacu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomé Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Dudu Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Machado in the 58th minute of play. Dudu Mota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Célio Lara went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomé Cruz in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tostão Antunes saved Laudja FC from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Ciro Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tostão Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Dantas in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Célio Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dudu Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Vitinho de Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pindobacu FC's protests and gave Vitinho de Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Pindobacu FC got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho de Azevedo. In the 78th minute of the match Doni Prado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dudu Mota skillfully saved the ball. Leonel Mello hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the game, one of Laudja FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Diego Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Diego Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Célio Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomé Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When %teams%'s Diego Dantas was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-2 just inside the left pole, 95 minutes into the game. Tostão Antunes was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
