Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardo Palmeira started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Chacaras got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos de Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Palmeira in the 5th minute of play forced Chacaras's goalkeeper Aníbal Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Ediberto Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Chacaras got a freekick which was hit by Válter Nóbrega. 18 minutes into the match, Chacaras's Luiz Paulo Peres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michel das Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Itoupava's goal looked a bit too open when Ediberto Brodel came free, but Michel das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mazinho dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the game, Tarcisio Faustino landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Zé Pedro Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Pedro Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zé Pedro Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Ediberto Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Itoupava's Michel das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto Brodel in the 40th minute of play. After the first half Chacaras were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter da Costa in the 54th minute of play forced Chacaras's goalkeeper Aníbal Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ediberto Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes in the game, Ediberto Brodel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Michel das Neves having to interfere. Michel das Neves made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Luiz Paulo Peres sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 66 minutes, Ediberto Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacaras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ediberto Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Gualter da Costa made a precise shot to the right of Aníbal Vinhas. Chacaras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luiz Paulo Peres came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Michel das Neves could save by the left post. When Bernardo Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Itoupava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Palmeira couldn't finish the play. If Ediberto Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ediberto Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacaras's supporters rose to their feet, but Ediberto Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gualter da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Vinhas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chacaras's João Carlos de Queiroz got a free kick in the 96th minute. Chacaras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
