In the 47thth minute of the game Elder Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alvinopolis SS's Agnaldo Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elder Barbosa made a kick off. Pesqueirao were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Alvinopolis SS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Loyola took the corner. After taking down the ball on Pesqueirao's corner Ciro Loyola fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Agnaldo Corrêa quite easily take care of the ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pesqueirao's goalkeeper Dário de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dário de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Luís Gustavo Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
