In the 3rd minute, Mauro Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mauro Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrício Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Valadares in the 14th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes, Crystaes SS's Pedro Luís Pereira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chiquinho Proença came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Crystaes SS reached it. In the 17th minute Frederico Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Baby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias Recife came free, but Chiquinho Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ediberto de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 29 minutes, Oséias Recife mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crystaes SS and the Baby FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oséias Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ediberto de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Crystaes SS defense, Ediberto de Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabrício Perez. The Crystaes SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabrício Perez should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frederico Valadares was the one to do the kick off. Frederico Valadares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrício Perez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Baby FC's Erasmo Teixeira got a free kick in the 65th minute. Mauro Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When Willian Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baby FC's protests and gave Willian Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Crystaes SS booed when Baby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crystaes SS's Fabrício Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto de Almeida in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Crystaes SS getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Oséias Recife hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Crystaes SS's Bebeto Pirani seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bebeto Pirani the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Crystaes SS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bebeto Pirani had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Crystaes SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Baby FC:s goal. Crystaes SS:s Fabrício Perez showed great skill when he stopped Dudu Martins:s penalty. 2-1 came in the 85th minute when Dudu Martins all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Fabrício Perez. Tomé de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabrício Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Valadares in the 92nd minute of the match.
