Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leopoldo de Souza started the match with the kick off. In the 11th minute, Andrézinho Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elivélton Machado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leopoldo de Souza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. If Jeremias Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Paulo Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Pitta having to interfere. A collision led to Surubim AD getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Leopoldo de Souza hit a great ball. Vítor Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jeremias Massa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Elivélton Machado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Leopoldo de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeremias Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Machado having to interfere. Elivélton Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Massa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elivélton Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Surubim AD's Jeremias Massa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elivélton Machado. Elivélton Machado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Vítor Pitta was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Andrézinho Baiano. After 62 minutes, Felipe Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itueta EC and the Surubim AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felipe Almeida hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Jeremias Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. João Paulo Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vítor Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Paulo Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Pitta having to interfere. João Paulo Mineiros short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Vítor Pitta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Leopoldo de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Machado having to interfere. Elivélton Machado came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Surubim AD's Leopoldo de Souza. But to his dismay, Leopoldo de Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Telmo Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Surubim AD defense, Luiz Fabiano Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Pitta. The Surubim AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Pitta should have stopped the shot. Vítor Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Leopoldo de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Luiz Fabiano Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by João Paulo Mineiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
