Enéas Miranda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of José Paulo Correia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Magno Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Figueiredo having to interfere. Enéas Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. José Paulo Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Iporanga's Augusto Magalhães got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Diego Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iporanga's José Paulo Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Brasil in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Magno Pena made the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Pena in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Bananeiro EC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Flavinho Leal hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Denílson Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Paulo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Brasil in the 66th minute of the match. Diego Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Correia having to interfere. Gustavo Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Bananeiro EC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Luís Paulo Cruz hit a great ball. Denílson Nascimento came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustavo Figueiredo could save by the left post.
