Enéas Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Almeida having to interfere. Gustavo Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Flavinho Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavinho Leal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Flavinho Leal hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Jano Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Danilo Lago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Figueiredo was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Enéas Miranda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Olívio Almeida, passed just outside the right post. Gustavo Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Lago in the 17th minute of play. Gustavo Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jano Recife went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Danilo Lago made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Figueiredo. Bananeiro EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 26 minutes, Jano Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jano Recife was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bananeiro EC's Joaquim Arantes got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, José Maria Passos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bananeiro EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luis the free kick. After 34 minutes of play, Luis's Danilo Lago made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jano Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gustavo Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Lago hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Danilo Lago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo Figueiredo having to make a save.

58 minutes into the match, Luis's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Brasil came free, but Olívio Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jano Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Luis booed when Bananeiro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Lago was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jano Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bananeiro EC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Donatello Reis hit a great ball. Danilo Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gustavo Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bananeiro EC booed when Luis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis's supporters rose to their feet, but Jano Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bananeiro EC's Gustavo Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Lago in the 95th minute of play. Enéas Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Almeida having to interfere. Luis played a much better game than Bananeiro EC and deserved their victory. The Bananeiro EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
