Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Magno Pena started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Iporanga's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Figueiredo came free, but José Paulo Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Augusto Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Pena in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Mota saved Cavalheiros AD from getting behind. Oscar Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Magno Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cavalheiros AD's zone, Denílson Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Mota came out of the goal and Denílson Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magno Pena struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Alberto Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iporanga. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Augusto de Souza during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, João Augusto de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes, Iporanga's César Barbosa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Mota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iporanga reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Denílson Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iporanga's supporters rose to their feet, but Denílson Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Iporanga's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Figueiredo came free, but José Paulo Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Figueiredo to make the kick off. Magno Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Mota having to interfere. If Denílson Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iporanga's José Paulo Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Figueiredo in the 63rd minute of play. If Oscar Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Paulo Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nildo Branco's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The supporters of Cavalheiros AD booed when Iporanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Moreira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Paulo Correia. Iporanga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Iporanga's César Barbosa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Hélder Lago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cavalheiros AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Cavalheiros AD's Alberto Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Pena in the 88th minute of play. Hélder Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cavalheiros AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Iporanga for a fine match.
