Jojoca EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Régis Faustino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Furtado in the 11th minute of play. Zé Pedro Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Celsinho Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamanoua's protests and gave Celsinho Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Celsinho Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival Tasso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Abelardo Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jojoca EC's Zé Paulo Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Vergílio in the 26th minute of play. Baltazar Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tamanoua's goalkeeper Régis Faustino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baltazar Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd match minute, Jojoca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Quintal to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the game, Tamanoua's Baltazar Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Paulo Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.

Júlio Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Azevedo having to interfere. Hélio Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Pedro Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Jojoca EC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Prestes. Eliézer Quintal hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Zé Paulo Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Nóbrega in the 65th minute of play. Júlio Vergílio took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Paulo Azevedo. Zé Paulo Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Zé Pedro Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Faustino having to interfere. Zé Pedro Leme might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Régis Faustino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Pedro Leme ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zé Pedro Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Hélio Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Régis Faustino. Hélio Furtado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Hélio Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abelardo Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Jojoca EC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Prestes. Jojoca EC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Tamanoua had won, even though Jojoca EC had held more of the ball.
